Annual Day/ Founder's Day celebrated on 4th December 2011
Our school celebrated its 77th founder`s day on 4th December 2011. The program started with traditional hawan ceremony which symbolized peace with the self and harmony with the environment. Lt. general J.P. Nehra, AVSM the adjutant general of the Indian army, was the chief guest. Teacher's Day Celebrations 2011
Learning more at every stage and exchanging views with people of educational and social values which have wide ramifications in our daily lives has been the hallmark of the education system, which the Salwan Education Trust has embarked upon. We celebrated Teacher's at Azad Dhawan near ITO. Mr. George Abraham, presently an advisor with CBM (a german funding agency that support disability) for north India, Nepal and Bangladesh. A multifaceted personality, Mr. Abraham is a trainer/motivational speaker with blind youth and selected corporate, a promoter of cricket for the blind and a disability activist/communicator was the Chief Guest. He reminded the Teachers about the duties towards the society.

Independence Day Celebrations 2011
Independence Day was celebrated on 12 august 2011. Feeling of patriotism, courage and valour was flouring in the environment on Independence Day. Highlight of the program was the stage play. (Hum bulbule hain iski) performed by the student.

Trip to Mt.Adi-Kailash
Trip to Mt.Adi-Kailash was made during summer vacations, 2011 by group of school teachers. Its one of the very exciting trekking regions, one not only walks along a large portion of Mt.Kailash - Mansarovar route, but also helped us understand the social and cultural life of the people living in the Chaudans, Byans and Dharma Valleys.

Visit to Golden Temple, Wagah Border and Jallianwala Bagh.
Our School organized an educational tour on 3/4/11 to 7/4/11 with 50 students to the city of Gurudwaras-Amritsar under the guidance of physical instructor Mr. Anil Toor. Students were made aware of the actual working and the rituals of Sikhism and were also taken to Wagah Border to see the display of valour and courage of our soldiers.They were also told about the tearful history behind Jallianwala Bagh.

Earth Day, 21st April, 2011.
Earth Day was celebrated in our School on 21st April, 2011. Environment related drawing competition was held amongst the students. Saplings were planted and the students were made aware about the healthy and happy environment. Students were told about "Planet ke Rakhwale" campaign under which they were advised to convey the message of mobile phones recycling process so that no extra mining and no cutting trees can be done to keep the earth clean and green.

Trip To Manali (26th May to 30th May, 2010)
Our school organized a trekking cum leadership training trip to Kulu Manali from 26th May to 30th May, 2010. The group of 48 students and 5 faculty members were part of the trip and enjoyed river crossing and trekking. It was a unique learning experience focusing on group cohensiveness and development of leadership quality. This trip was a combination of fun and learning.
