Annual Day/Founders Day 2011 Our school celebrated its 77th founder`s day on 4th December 2011. The program started with traditional hawan ceremony which symbolized peace with the self and harmony with the environment. Lt. general J.P. Nehra, AVSM the adjutant general of the Indian army, was the chief guest. Annual magazine "PARIVARTANAM" was released.

Teacher's Day 2011
Learning more at every stage and exchanging views with people of educational and social values which have wide ramifications in our daily lives has been the hallmark of the education system, which the Salwan Education Trust has embarked upon. We celebrated Teacher's at Azad Dhawan near ITO. Mr. George Abraham, presently an advisor with CBM (a german funding agency that support disability) for north India, Nepal and Bangladesh. A multifaceted personality, Mr. Abraham is a trainer/motivational speaker with blind youth and selected corporate, a promoter of cricket for the blind and a disability activist/communicator was the Chief Guest. He reminded the Teachers about the duties towards the society.

Independence Day 2011
Independence Day was celebrated on 12 august 2011. Feeling of patriotism, courage and valour was flouring in the environment on Independence Day. Highlight of the program was the stage play. (Hum bulbule hain iski) performed by the student.

Earth Day, 22nd April
Our school celebrated “Earth Day” on 22nd April, 2010.Earth Day was designed to inspire awareness and appreciation about the earth’s environment among the students and people of the locality. Today climate change and global warming are the greatest challenges of our time. The celebrations presents an opportunity to build a healthy, prosperous, clean and energy economy for now and future.
On this occasion our school organized a drawing competition. Plants were distributed. A rally (Prabhat Pheri) was organized carrying banners and posters regarding ‘Saving the Earth’ …

We celebrate Teacher's Day at the India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road by inviting Leaders and asking them questions on how laws are being made for Community Development.
Teachers are encouraged to ask questions that the policy makers decide for the community and to grasp the ground reality.

Founders Day
A proud moment for us as we remember our Founder Father, Late Sh. Giridhari Lal Salwan who created this magnificent institution for us to impart value based education to the neediest of the needy. Over the years, we have seen this Institution growing in all the aspects from the past, flowing into the present, onto the future which is reflected in the new energy through its Values, Academic Standards, Sports achievements and a strong Infrastructure. Leadership coupled with a dynamic faculty - working slowly but surely on the path of imbibing Value based Education are the principles we work upon. We are today of what our Founders thought of us in the past and what we think today will define our future.
The grand event begins with the arrival of Chief Guest ,Trustees, Principals of Sister Institutions, distinguished guest and parents. After the traditional Havan Ceremony and Saraswati Vandana, the distinguished guests move to the school grounds where the cultural and sports activities are displayed. The proceedings are led by an impressive march past by 14 contingents from the Salwan Schools. As each contingent passes, they are cheered and applauded by the parents for their precision in footwork, rhythm and co-ordination. Yoga, Martial Arts, Bhangra, and Tug of war - amongst the students of class XII and XI. Helper's Race - brought excitement amongst students showing ample amount of guts courage & the 'Will to Excel'. The students who excell in Academics, Sports and co-curricular activities are felicitated at the prize distribution ceremony by the Chief Guest. |
